The Celebrity Cafe: What inspired you to become an actress?
Alex Lombard: Well, I think it's something I've always wanted to do. You just sort of know.
TCC:Well, We also know that you directed your own film (Sophie). What was it like directing your own film rather than simply starring in it? How was that different for you?
AL: It was really great, I had the best time and, it was very empowering and I learned so much. I can't say enough about it, it was just an incredible learning experience
TCC: So is that something you could see yourself doing again?
AL: I definitely would like to direct again for sure.
TCC: Your movie, Morning Calm, discusses the concept of love lost. What was it about that script that made you want to pursue the role?
AL: Well, my writing partner wrote that, so of course I jumped at the opportunity to work with him because I wanted to support him anyway that I could. I was really excited to be able to collaborate with him because that was his first thing he directed.
TCC:What has been your favorite role so far?
AL: I probably couldn't pick just one, but the role I played in the film I directed was really special. I wrote it and was able to act in it, so that was pretty special.
TCC: I see that you've also starred in some TV shows. Do you find that you prefer movies over TV?
AL: No not necessarily. I think they're both really wonderful in their own way
TCC: So what projects are you working on right now?
AL: Well right now I'm working on finishing my second pilot and my feature that I'm going to be directing as well.
TCC: When will those be out?
AL: I'm not sure yet when those will come out.
TCC: What advice would you give to other aspiring actors/actresses?
AL: I would have to say not to give up. If you're going do it, make sure it's something you love enough to do no matter what anybody else says.
