Rutgers University has released an investigator’s report into bullying allegations made by football player Jevon Tyree against former assistant coach Dave Cohen.

According to the Associated Press, the report released Tuesday, determined that Cohen did not bully Tyree and there was no retaliation against the cornerback.

A law firm that interviewed Tyree and others prepared the report.

The allegations were first made by Tyree and his family in November. He said he wanted disciplinary action taken against the defensive coordinator after he alleged that Cohen verbally abused him and threatened to head-butt him.

The school vowed to look into the incident that caused the student athlete to quit the team.

In the report, investigators say they found that Cohen behaved inappropriately on the day in question, but his actions did not rise to the level of bullying, the Star Ledger notes.

The Scarlet Knights assistant was fired shortly after the allegations surfaced, however, head coach Kyle Flood said the decision to let him go was strictly football related.
