J.J. Abrams spent a few moments defending his work on Believe at the Television Critics Association press tour session. Believe is a television show that focuses on Bo, a girl in possession of special powers. Abrams admitted that there have been some changes for the show, but he also said that he stands behind the concept of Believe, his collaborative effort with Alfonso Cuaron.
Abrams told The Hollywood Reporter, "Over 20 years ago, I met Alfonso Cuaron and I wanted to work with him desperately ever since. I was a huge fan of the movies he made. It wasn't until Alfonso -- through some magical moment who called saying, 'I have an idea for a TV show' -- and when he pitched the idea, I felt like I had to see that on television. It was an opportunity that was too great, too exciting to pass up."
Cuaron’s ideas are also getting recognized on the big screen. Alfonso Cuaron has recently garnered praise for his work on the Academy Award nominated film, Gravity. Gravity was re-released at more than 900 theaters after winning the Golden Globe Award last week, according to Variety.
