James Franco is making quite a transition from screen to stage as he prepares to make his Broadway debut. The This is The End star has joined forces with fellow screen actor Chris O’Dowd in a limited engagement run of Of Mice and Men.

According to Entertainment Weekly, this will be both Franco and O’Dowd’s Broadway debut in John Steinbeck’s revival of the highly anticipated drama. Also joining the multi-talented stars is Country Strong's Leighton Meester.

Broadway.com reports that previews for the star-studded play begin March 19 at the Longacre Theatre in New York and runs through July 27. The show revolves around a migratory hand and his pal who aspire to one day run a farm of their own.

Franco has been seen in a multitude of films including the Spider-man trilogy as well as Oz The Great and Powerful, Spring Breakers, and most recently, This is The End. With a history of teaching, Franco exhibits an inevitable display of talent and capacity.

O’Dowd has also had a history of film credits but became most known for his humble role in the popular comedy Bridesmaids. O’Dowd’s co-star, Meester, rose to fame with her country twang and smooth vocals in the musical film Country Strong. Meester is also known for her role as Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl. The singer and actor will have no problem adjusting to country ways in this rural production.
