Amber Heard spurred rumors that she was engaged to Johnny Depp this week when she was spotted with a diamond ring on her left ring finger while leaving a restaurant with her friend in Los Angeles.
Heard did her best to cover the bling from photographers, but they managed to get a partial shot of it.
While neither Heard, 27, or Depp, 50, have commented on the engagement reports, sources are confirming to media outlets like Us Weekly that it is indeed true.
"The proposal happened a while ago," said a source. "She just didn't wear the ring."
Their engagement might be the reason they decided to walk the red carpet as a couple for the first time at the Art of Elysium's 7th Annual HEAVEN Gala on Jan. 11. However, they’ve been dating since 2012 after Depp split from his partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis.
They met on the set of their film The Rum Diaries in 2011 and will appear on-screen again alter this year in London Fields.
Depp has two children with Paradis; Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11.
