Jonah Hill, who has gone from raunchy comedy star to Oscar contender, has been tapped to host an episode of Saturday Night Live later this month.
The Wolf of Wall Street star will host the Jan. 25 episode, reports Variety. It will be his third time as host on the show. His episode’s musical guest will be Bastille, whose track “Pompeii” has over 53 million views on YouTube.
Hill has been in the news lately as the co-star of Martin Scorsese’s latest film, which has been hit hard by the public for its debauchery, graphic language and for apparently glorifying bad behavior. He recently defended the film at a Variety event in Palm Springs.
“I think the movie is not glorifying this behavior, it is showing that it leads to bad places whether their judicial punishment doesn’t reflect that is one thing,” Hill said. “Where your life ends up, who you are as a person, is another.”
Saturday Night Live will return with new episodes on Jan. 18. Drake has been tapped to host and perform during the episode. He recently released Nothing Was The Same.
The long-running sketch comedy show also hired African-American comedienne Sasheer Zamata on Monday.
