Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reunited. The former couple were seen riding segways together in Calabasas, Calif. on Thursday, Jan. 2.
After months of estrangement, the two reunited but they weren’t alone. It seems Bieber and Gomez, formerly known as Jelena by fans, were with one of Bieber’s friends as well.
TMZ has photos of their afternoon out, and sources told In Touch, “His security was blocking the road and it held up traffic.”
Despite the inconvenience it might’ve cost Bieber’s neighbors, this is a major development in the former couple of two years’ relationship. They dated for the better part of two years before calling it quits exactly a year ago and despite posting a few pictures together after the break-up they didn’t seem to have any interaction until Thursday.
Their reconciliation shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering the “As Long As You Love Me” singer’s recent comments during a radio interview, during which he said he still loves her but confirmed they weren’t on speaking terms.
“[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people. It’s such a public thing. It’s just hard for the both of us. But you know, she’s a great woman. I love her till this day,” he said, adding, , “I think we’re going to be the greatest of friends. Right now we’re taking a little time and not talking.”
It's still not clear if they're working on a friendship or they're taking steps towards getting back together.
