Pop star Justin Beiber was arrested in Miami Beach early Thursday morning under suspicion for driving under the influence and drag racing.

According to CNN, Beiber was arrested driving a yellow Lamborghini, seen drag racing a Ferrari through residential streets in Miami Beach.

Beiber reportedly showed signs of intoxication and drug use, and failed a field sobriety test. The Miami Beach PD took him into custody, booking him for drunk driving.

Two SUVs blocked the flow of traffic onto the residential street to keep it clear for Beiber's antics, police spokesman Bobby Hernandez said. The other drag racer who drove the Ferrari, Khalil Amir Sharieff, was also arrested and charged with drunk driving.

ABC News reports that Beiber cursed out police officers while non-violently resisting arrest. He admitted to having alcohol, marijuana, and prescription pills in his system. Police noted that he didn't have a license, as his Georgia license had expired.

The Canadian singer, 19, has faced problems with the law as of late and is under investigation for allegedly egging his neighbor's house in Calabasas, Ca., but this marks his first arrest.

The charges against Beiber are a first-degree misdemeanor, which could result in up to six months in jail or a license suspension. Florida has a zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking, and Beiber may have to enter a program to avoid punishment, pledging to avoid drugs and alcohol in the future.
