Kanye West, who’s reportedly been campaigning to get his fiancé, Kim Kardashian, on the cover of Vogue for some time now is rumored to have confronted editor-in-chief Anna Wintour about putting Girls creator Lena Dunham on the cover instead of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star.

West, who’s friends with Wintour, recently had lunch with her at Beverly Hills’ Polo Lounge, where he pressed her about the decision to put Dunham on the cover and hasn’t taken any steps to feature Kardashian.

“Kanye thinks that Kim has a much bigger fan base and appeal than Lena,” a source told RadarOnline, adding he is thinks it’s “insulting” that Wintour won’t honor his request. He also thinks his fiancé is “just as talented as Lena, if not more so.”

However, Wintour reportedly doesn’t feel the same. Vogue cropped Kardashian out of the Best Dressed list that West was featured on for the Met Gala back in May. Only her hand, which the Yeezus rapper was holding, made the cut. The then-pregnant reality star wore a floral dress designed by Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, which got a lot of criticism in the press.

Last year, West, who often rants about Kardashian, told Ryan Seacrest, “There is no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She is the most intriguing woman right now. She has got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday.”
