For viewers who tuned into the Today Show Thursday morning, interviewers Mady and Cara, along with famous reality television mother Kate Gosselin, proved quite uncomfortable in their first live television debut. However, at a later talk-show appearance on January 20, Mady and Cara proved quite talkative while being interviewed on The View.

Us Weekly reported that the twins proved more responsive to The View’s Barbara Walters and co-hosts while being asked similar questions to their awkward Today Show interview. However, when father Jon Gosselin was mentioned, the girls returned to their silent ways and Kate had to urge them to answer again. When asked about the divorce Mady spoke out for both of the twins saying, "I think it was harder for you, definitely" she said as she turned to her mom. "It didn't really affect me and we still saw both parents… we were little, we were like 8 or 9."

According to Daily News, the 13-year old twins and Kate adorned the same outfits as they did on the Today Show earlier that week. However, the girls were definitely more comfortable and shared giggles and laughs over specific topics. The girls even shared their love for the much-idolized One Direction as Mady ensued while Cara shared her admiration for Demi Lovato. Mady made sure to comment on how she was not so much a fan of pop singer Justin Bieber who has been gaining a great deal of media attention lately.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 made its television debut in 2007, showcasing the life of the Gosselins and their sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel, along with twins Mady and Cara. The series ran until 2011 after Jon and Kate decided to undergo a divorce leaving the series to change to just Kate Plus 8. However, after two seasons, the reality television show was forced to end its weekly airing.
