Singer Ke$ha has confirmed that she is now in rehab to deal with an eating disorder.
The news was first reported by TMZ, which cited sources close to the “Timber” singer. TMZ’s sources say that she has gone to Chicago’s Timberline Knolls facility, where Demi Lovato also received treatment.
Ke$ha checked in early Friday morning.
“I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself but I've found it hard to practice,” the 26-year-old later said in a statement to E! News. “I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder...to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am.”
E! News notes that the “Die Young” singer has been looking slimmer lately, but trainer Kit Rich recently told the site that she is doing well and exercising. “We've been doing a lot of circuit training and incorporating Pilates exercises with weights that heighten and shape the butt,” Rich told E!. “Lunges, squats, stairs and isolated glute exercises."
Ke$ha has been on the charts lately with Pitbull’s “Timber.” She recently released a racy video for “Dirty Love,” which she directed. She also has her own reality show called My Crazy Beautiful Life.
We wish Ke$ha the best.
