Former Growing Pains star, Kirk Cameron, recently expressed his anti-gay ideas on Facebook shortly after the Macklemore performance at the Grammy’s.
On Sunday, four-time-winning duo, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, preformed the inspiring anthem, “Same Love,” along with Madonna and Queen Latifah. At the end of the performance, 33 gay and straight couples said “I Do” on live TV.
However, Cameron, the former Atheist turned Born Again Christian, wrote on his Facebook that the ceremony was an “assault on the traditional family.”
The post has since been deleted but The Wrap saved the quote. While also releasing his conservative ideals, he also endorsed his new film, Mercy Rule.
According to Breathe Cast, the film will be released on Valentine’s Day to DVD and available for download online.
The film, which will also star his wife, was said in the post that it is about “family, faith and baseball,” in his opinion, capable of securing the traditional family from different beliefs.
This isn’t the first time Cameron has been vocal about his opinion on homosexuality. In 2012, he told Piers Morgan that homosexuality was ”unnatural.”
