Lea Michele had a rough year in 2013 due to losing her on and off-screen boyfriend Cory Monteith in July. In the March issue of Teen Vogue, she opened up about her loss has given her strength and how she finds comfort in knowing he’s always around.
The Glee actress, 27, talked to Teen Vogue about her debut album Louder, which Monteith got to listen to before he passed. She revealed his favorite song off of the album was “Burn With You.”
"I somehow feel the insane love Cory and I had for each other morphed into this strength that I have right now,” she said of coping with his untimely death at the age of 31.
“ There's just something about knowing he's watching everything I'm doing and feeling like I have to do everything now not just for me but for him. I also have a safety net below me -- if I fall or if it's too much, my friends and family will be there to catch me,” she continued, CBS News reports.
Michele said Monteith was extremely supportive of her foray into the music industry, telling her she was going to be a “pop star.”
"He would be like, 'You're going to be a pop star! What are we going to do? Are we going to, like, go on the road?'" she remembered. "He would say, 'This is going to be big!'”
Michele took to Twitter to show off some photos from the photoshoot she did with Teen Vogue.
