Lena Dunham isn’t on board with Jezebel’s recent request to pay $10,000 for the un-airbrushed prints of her Vogue cover.
The website cites previous cover images that look nothing like their subjects and scolds the famed publication for their use of Photoshop. They also point out that Dunham's outspoken campaigning for women to show their true self isn't in line with Vogue's frequent alterations to their photos.
“This is about Vogue, and what Vogue decides to do with a specific woman who has very publicly stated that she's fine just the way she is, and the world needs to get on board with that. Just how resistant is Vogue to that idea? Unaltered images will tell,” they state.
When a fan took to Twitter to comment on their offer, writing “If Dunham wanted to release her own retouched photos, that might be interesting. Asking for a bounty on them? GROSS,” the Girls creator responded, “10k? Give it to charity then just order HBO.”

The usually outspoken Twitter user then proved she wanted nothing to do with Jezebel’s proposal, tweeting, “Some sh-t is just too ridiculous to engage. Let's use our energy wisely, 2014.”

Dunham's frequent nudity on her show Girls has had critics talking, but she's unapologetic for it, releasing saying it's a "realistic expression of what it's like to be alive."
