Fresh off her Grammy wins, Lorde returned to her home country of New Zealand. However, the Pure Heroin singer, 17, vented her frustrations about her less-than-ideal homecoming on Twitter.

In tweets she has since deleted, Lorde ranted about the attention she received at the airport when landing back in New Zealand.

"NZ media almost pushed over myself and my family at the airport this morning in order to get their shots,” she first wrote, adding, "Bit of a sad welcome to be honest."

The winner of the Best Solo Pop Performance and Album of the Year Grammys on Sunday night continued to say she understands she’s famous now, but it’s scary getting used to that, OneNews reports.

"I know that success comes with a price tag. It just sucks when you see that in your tiny home country where you previously felt safe,” she wrote. "I'm beginning to get used to my image as a public commodity, and the fact that I'm getting used to it frightens me."

Lorde, real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor, also retweeted a photo Taylor Swift posted of the two a few days ago. The caption read, “And you know... We're on each other's team.”

Her most recent tweet showed how amused she was that she’s been getting bombarded with friend requests. “Wow so many people i don't really know at all want to be my friend on facebook since last night #yes #great,” she wrote.

Lorde rose to fame last year with her breakout single "Royals." She's certainly raised the bar since winning two Grammy's on Sunday.
