Comedian Louis C.K. has used his website to post specials and albums, but his latest is a unique venture for the Louie star. In 1998, he directed a film called Tomorrow Night and never released it, until it showed up on his site today.

C.K. posted the film on his site for $5. The film was made in Black & White with 16mm film and stars several major comedians before they hit it big, including Steve Carell and Wanda Sykes. JB Smoove and Conan O’Brien also appear.

“I was a struggling comedian and TV writer at the time and I pulled together my savings and some of my friends money to make this movie on black and white 16mm film,” C.K. wrote on his site.

While this is the first time the film is receiving a wide audience, Zap2It notes that it was seen at Sundance and other film festivals after it was completed. However, no distributor picked it up.

C.K. was on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night to promote the film and admitted that it’s a little rough. “It's a little hard to watch now 'cause it's crazy. The whole movie's like [the clip], nothing makes much sense. But the performances are great,” C.K. said after the audience saw a clip with Carell.

Stewart said that he actually donated $5,000 to help C.K. finish the movie, although he now wishes that money went to something he actually released, like his acclaimed FX series Louie.
