Mark Duplass, star of the raunchy FX comedy about fantasy football, The League is actually a Sundance film veteran. Duplass has been featured in, director or produced over ten films that have been seen at the famous film festival.

Duplass premiered his latest film, The One I Love at the 2014 festival and spoke about the advice he wish he had as a young and upcoming filmmaker, Variety reported. The One I Love also stars Elizabeth Moss.

The film is being described as an in-depth looking into a relationship and is already getting rave reviews, USA Today added.

"I’m gonna say something controversial here, And this is no slight to all my friends who distribute movies, (but) the most important part of making a movie is making sure that film streams on Netflix," said Duplass.

The League star said that in a stroke of accidental luck, his first feature film made it onto the instant streaming sight and it was the greatest thing that could have happened to his career.

Duplass went on to explain how Netflix changed his career and life. "Getting a big VOD pop is great, but my first movie made a grand total of $220,000 in theaters but about 5 million people have seen it on Netflix because they can click on it and they can try it out. And so I really recommend to get your get goddamn movie on Netflix. It made my career," said Duplass.
