The FX network has been announcing new shows, new pilots and production schedules constantly for the past few days and the network has another announcement to add to that growing list.
Michael Cera and John Hawke have joined the cast of How and Why, which is being developed by Charlie Kaufman. Hawkes is known for his work on Winter's Bone. He will be playing Goodman Hesselman on the show, and Cera will play Mendelson, Goodman's new boss at the studio.
How and Why will tell the story of a man who has a brilliant mind and focuses his knowledge on nuclear physics, but he appears to be clueless and unaware of how life works.
Kaufman will be writing the whole show along with being an executive producer along with Anthony Bregman, Variety reported.
The Hollywood Reporter added that the pilot for How and Why was ordered by FX back in March.
Production on the upcoming show will begin in the spring in North Carolina.
