Fans of Michelle Dockery, known as Lady Mary on the hit show Downtown Abbey, found her at a different post this year.
The celebrity showed off her comedic talents as a crime solver in Tough Justice, a fake trailer on FunnyOrDie.com. In the TNT spoof, Dockery played Connie Tough, a detective who solves crimes with confused partner Michael Chiklis, according to USA Today.
Downtown Abbey was a breakout show for Dockery. In the period drama, she took a step back in time to the Great War, playing the cynical and troubled Lady Mary, “Mary doesn’t get her hands quite as dirty as her sisters because she is such a crashing snob, but the war has been a huge wake-up call for the girls,” Dockery told the Daily Mail.
Dockery was praised for her work in the period drama, and Downtown Abbey enjoyed success, including being nomination at the Emmy awards. Season four of Downtown Abbey premiered on PBS on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 9 p.m. EST.
