Miley Cyrus was featured in an MTV Unplugged special on Wednesday night where she joined forces with her idol…. and a farm animal. With country-themed costumes and special guest, Madonna, Miley proved that she still has somewhat of a country twang.
E! Online reported that the special included the typical tongue tantrums, occasional swearing, “crotch grabbing”, and of course, lots of twerking. Miley also tweeted that Dolly Parton was her inspiration for many of her eccentric costume choices.
Miley bantered with the audience saying, "I tried to bring Nashville here for the night.” She continued later joking, "MTV's paying me today in ones so we can all go to the strip club after this."
Miley sang a medley of songs from her latest album “Bangerz” and even covered Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”. According to Daily Mail, Cyrus’ highlight of the night was performing with none other than idol Madonna.
Miley exclaimed, “'So, it sounds super lame, but as a pop star it's pretty cool performing with Madonna.” The singer proved her excitement by repeatedly “spanking” Madonna and at some point in the night was twerking hardcore with a barnyard pony.
