Mindy Kaling responds to firestorm over Elle Magazine cover

Mindy Kaling tweeted: "I love my @Ellemagazine cover. It made me feel glamorous & cool. And if anyone wants to see more of my body, go on thirteen dates with me."

Kaling posted this after a firestorm was created over her Elle cover, which was the only one out of four to be in black and white, as well as a close-up. According to US Magazine , Amy Poehler, Zooey Deschanel, and Allison Williams also appear on the cover.

Fans are heated over the fact that the other three women are pictured in full body, and in color.

According to TheWrap, Elle has come under fire before when Melissa McCarthy’s body was covered up in an oversized coat. Like Kaling, McCarthy also loved her cover.

Elle responded with a statement to US Magazine,saying “"Mindy looks sexy, beautiful and chic. We think it is a striking and sophisticated cover and are thrilled to celebrate her in our Women in TV Issue."
