NBC is in talks to have Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn possibly help the network with its upcoming Sochi Winter Olympics coverage.

"I don't think she is going to be able to travel," said Jim Bell, Olympics executive producer, reports Deadline. Still, "We have been in discussions," he added. Bell coyly responded with a "maybe," during the phone call with reporters when asked for an answer.

The executive producer also mentioned that he isn't worried about Vonn not competing in the Olympics this year leading to less interested U.S. viewers as there are "plenty of established stars to go around." He pointed out that snowboarder Shaun White would be competing and unknown stars could also breakout.

Vonn previously announced her withdrawal from the Winter Olympics as she wasn't able to heal in time from her knee injuries.

She said, "I did everything I possibly could to somehow get strong enough to overcome having no ACL but the reality has sunk in that my knee is just too unstable to compete at this level."

She had surgery a year ago on two torn ligaments, but managed to re-injure one of the ligaments in November. She then suffered another setback after the World Cup in December.
