NBC has ordered a new comedy series from Craig Robinson, of The Office and This Is The End fame. The comedy will feature Robinson in the lead role.
The single-cam comedy will be titled, Mr. Robinson.The show will tell the story of a musician who gets a job as a music teacher at a local middle school. The comedy will feature some rule breaking, lesson learning and musical tunes from rock to blues.
Variety reported that NBC has ordered six episodes of the show.
Brother duo, Mark and Robb Cullen from Universal TV and 3 Arts Entertainment are now attached to the project as executive producers, The Hollywood Reporter added.
Even though Robinson was given a producer creditor in the pilot, for the next eposide he will not.
The pilot for the show was ordered back in 2013 by the Peacock network.
No release date has been announced yet for the comedy and additional details are coming in regards to the supporting cast.
