It’s no surprise to any fan, that the New York Rangers want Mats Zuccarello to stick around. With 26 goals and 37 points, Zuccarello has been a staple for the team.
The last game the Rangers played ended with an astounding 7-3 win over their rivals, the New Jersey Devils, at Yankee Stadium.
Saturday’s game resulted in a 5.1 rating, the highest rating for an NHL game in New York on NBC, according to NYDailynews. Zuccarello scored twice out of the seven goals.
There is word from Norwegian online newspaper, Nettavisen, that Mats Zuccarello's $1.15 million deal is possibly being extended, according to the NYRangersBlog.com
The New York Rangers are second in the Metropolitan division of the Eastern Conference and a lot of that has to do with the skill of the left wing, 26-year-old Norway native.
The stadium series will continue for Mats Zuccarello and the Rangers on Wednesday, January 28th against the New York Islanders.
