Not many Sirius XM subscribes are keeping their service because of radio talk show host Howard Stern. A recent study showed that only five percent would consider leaving satellite service if he was gone.

Macquarie Equities Research released the results of the survey yesterday that showed out of 800 users surveyed only 12 percent of them listened to Stern's show regularly and only five percent of those asked would stop their service if Stern was to be taken off the air, Variety reported.

Marketwatch added that Stern's upcoming birthday party which will feature a variety of musical guests and celebrities will be featured on Sirius radio.

The festivities will be broadcasted on Friday, January 31, starting at 4:00 pm ET. Stern spoke about how excited he was to let fans attend the celebration virtually.

"I am honored by the number of performers who want to join me on stage, and the number of fans who want to get in," said Stern.

Stern's contract with Sirius is set to expire in 2015, so fans will have to see what happens with the shock jock.
