Wednesday, January 29 marks Oprah Winfrey’s 60th birthday. The former queen of daytime was going to celebrate with a big party, but she has reportedly canceled it due to issues with her guest list.
While she did have a little birthday celebration at SoulCycle in West Hollywood, Calif. On Friday, she was supposed to have a party until the guest list got “out of control.”
“The guest list was getting out of control so she decided to cancel," a source told E! News.
Winfrey showed how much fun she had at the spinning class in a video posted to her Instsgram page. She captioned it, “Ride baby, ride! Birthday ride at @soulcycle!”
The group of about 50 of her friends wore purple T-shirts that read “Happy Birthday Oprah” on them. Instructor Angela Davis even played all of her favorite songs during the class, which lasted 45 minutes.
In October, Winfrey told CBS’ This Morning about turning 60, “The 6-0 number, I’ve always said to people to own it. Even I, who has said to women all these years, own it, own it, own it, took a pause for that,” Reuters reports.
Instead of a blowout party, Winfrey will reportedly have a “quiet dinner” at home in Montecito, Calif, one of her many homes.
