The final coroner’s report of actor Paul Walker’s death has been released, showing that driver Roger Rodas, who also died in the accident, was driving at an unsafe speed. It also goes into graphic detail of the injuries the Fast & Furious actor suffered.
Walker died on Nov. 30 after Rodas crashed into a tree in Santa Clarita, Calif. After the autopsy was performed, the official cause of death was determined as the “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.” Officials said that the deaths of both Walker and Rodas were accidents.
Today, more details were revealed as the coroner’s final report was released. According to Fox News, the documents state that Rodas was driving the Porsche 100 mph at the time of the accident. After the car crashed and exploded, Walker’s body was burned to the point that no organs could be recovered for transplants.
TMZ notes that the report says Walker was found lying face up in the passenger seat in a “pugilistic” stance, as if bracing for the impact. There was also “scant soot in Walker's trachea,” which suggests that Walker was able to take a breath after the impact, but TMZ’s sources say that both men did die on impact.
The toxicology report didn’t find any trace of drugs or alcohol in their systems.
Walker was 40-years-old and in the middle of filming the seventh Fast & Furious movie. Universal has rescheduled the film for summer 2015.
