Hockey fans missed Chris Kreider, as he was ejected from last night’s game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the New York Rangers. The game became heated and a surprising turn was taken as NHL player Chris Kreider was taken off the ice, according to the NY Daily News.

Coaches were left to question the decision regarding the hit on player Feder Tyutin. According to Reuters, Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said, "If you look at the replay -- I looked at the replay -- he tried to stop just before (making contact). It seemed like he stopped and sort of a follow-through from their player and anytime a guy gets pushed into the boards the way he did, the referees don't have much of a choice."

Vigneault noted he did not ask the officiating crew for an explanation, and does not think Kreider will be suspended by the NHL for the hit.

Kreider was not available when the Rangers room was opened to the media.
