There are apps for your smart phone or iPhone to assist people with making these resolutions really work.

MyFitnessPal is an app that is free on Andriod that can aid you in losing weight. It will allow you to track your progress (weight and inches lost) as well as track your workouts and log your eating.

Mint, an app free for iOS and Android, will allow a user to plug in any account, checking, savings and even investments. It will categorize transactions and put everything into easy to read graphs.

A great app to get you exercising is RunKeeper. This app allows you to track the distance you run, or walk, and the time it takes. It also tracks your route. It allows you to add music, add a new route and even share your workout to Facebook.

You can also add a Job Search app to your phone, most are free. If you need a new job or want to move on from the one you currently hold, Job Search apps powered by Indeed, Proven and Monster are all available for your phone. You can add resumes via your mobile device through these apps as well.

Eating healthier can be made easy with Fooducate. With this free app, you can scan barcodes and get an A to D nutrition grade.

Stress Relief is an app that can aid you in managing stress in the new year. The app will guide you through stress and worry reducing hypnosis exercises that you can do anywhere, at the office or at home, when you feel the stress building.

An app that is free for Android users called Quit Smoking is a useful tool for those with the resolution that you will stop smoking in the new year. You just enter your current habits and it will design a schedule to wean you off.

If you’re wanting to improve a relationship in the new year, Back in Touch is a great app to try out. It costs $1.99 and will import your contact list and allow you to input how often you’d like to speak to each person.

If you are a procrastinator and would like that to change in the new year, Eisenhower may work for you. This app separates your task into four quadrants: Do First, Schedule, Delegate and Don’t Do. Then the app let’s you focus on that task for 30 minutes. When you are done you are able to swipe left to right and mark it off of your to-do list.

Setting aside time for yourself will be easy with the BRB app. It notifies your contacts that you are taking a break and includes Facebook, Twitter and text.
