Hollywood Celebrity Rob Lowe is set to appear in the new television pilot, The Pro.
The Pro is a comedy set in and around a tennis and golf club. According to Variety, it stars Lowe as a tennis player who is reunited with his ex-partner after a squabble in public. Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory, known for King of the Hill and Frasier will write the script. Karey Burke, Marc Gurvitz and Todd Holland are serving as executive producers.
Lowe’s film career has included successful movies like St. Elmo’s Fire and Wayne’s World. Lowe was recently seen on the small screen as Chris Traeger on Parks and Recreation. Fans also remember him from his performances on The West Wing, Californication, and Killing Kennedy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lowe will continue to keep working with NBC on Parks and Recreation. Parks and Recreation is having a great year and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for comedy series. Amy Poehler took home a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Leslie Knope in the show. The last episode of Parks and Recreation will be Jan. 30.
