Richard Sherman, the controversial Seattle Seahawks cornerback, became even more notorious for his brash persona on Sunday when the Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49ers to advance to the Super Bowl.

Sherman broke up a pass intended for 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree, setting up the game-clinching interception. After the play, he approached Crabtree and drew a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct, according to NBCSports.

Crabtree shoved Sherman in the face after he approached him. Sherman then made a choking gesture toward the 49ers bench, which he claimed was directed at quarterback Colin Kaepernick. For this, Sherman was fined $7,875 by the NFL for taunting and unsportsmanlike conduct according to ESPN.

Although it didn’t determine his fine, Sherman’s night was most defined by his post-game interview with FOX Sports reporter Erin Andrews. In the interview, he shouted that he is the “best corner in the game” and that when a "sorry receiver like Crabtree messes with him that’s the result he’s gonna get.”
