Singing duo from the 1970s, The Captain & Tennille, Daryl Dragon and Toni Tennille, are reportedly getting a divorce.
Tennille filed for a divorce on Jan. 16 according to , who talked with Prescott, Arizona City courthouse. The "Love Will Keep Us Together" duo have been married for 39 years.
USA Today reports that a statement appeared on CaptainandTennille.net, discusses the divorce. The statement notes that the couple appeared to outside parties to have a "rock-solid" relationship.
But, the statement adds, "people naturally evolve over time, & sometimes hidden feelings start to be uncovered."
TMZ reached out to the 71-year-old Dragon who seemed surprised about the news. He said, "I don't know why she filed. I gotta figure it out for myself first."
TMZ got a hold of the divorce documents which mention something about health insurance, which could have played a part. It's possible that Tennille filed for divorce to maybe allow her husband to get better health insurance as he suffers from a condition similar to Parkinson's, which also causes tremors.
