World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Timothy Bradley agreed to fight boxing icon Manny Pacquiao in a rematch scheduled for April. This may turn out to be as anticipated as a Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather match that fans all over the world have hoped would happen.
Bradley and Pacquiao last met each other in June 2012 when Bradley won in a highly controversial split decision, according to USAToday. Most fans felt that Pacquiao truly won the fight because he dominated the whole way. The decision led to public outrage, including death threats toward Bradley from rabid Pacquiao fans.
Bradley remains without a loss in his career though with a 31-0 record, including 12 knockouts. Pacquiao holds a 55-5 record with 38 KOs, according to ESPN.
All the scores from the judges were extremely close, as Bradley won 115-113 on two of the judges' scorecards while Pacquiao won 115-113 on one judge's scorecard.
Pacquiao will be guaranteed $20 million for the rematch, and Bradley will be guaranteed $6 million. This marks a $6 million pay cut for Pacquiao while it represents a $1 million raise for Bradley.
