Sharon Stone has been cast to star in the currently titled TNT drama pilot Agent X.
The script was written by William Blake Herron, who penned the screenplay for Bourne Identity, reports Deadline.
Her role in Agent X is the first real starring role in a show on television. At the start of her career, Stone did appear in a NBC program that didn't last long and has done guest star roles for shows like The Practice and Law & Order: SVU.
Stone will play Natalie Maccabee, who is the first female vice-president. She has just entered office and discovers that the vice-president is tasked with the top secret of protecting the Constitution, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Maccabee, along with her Chief Steward, use a secret agent called "Agent X" at her discretion. The secret operative was put in place by the original founding fathers.
Armyan Berstein, who worked on the films Children of Men and Air Force One will executive produce the pilot.
