R&B singer and actress Fantasia Barrino rose to fame as the winner of the third season of American Idol in 2004. Her first single, "I Believe," hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and her debut album Free Yourself was certified platinum and earned her three Grammy nominations.

In 2006, Fantasia's self-titled album was certified Gold and also earned her another three Grammy nominations. Her single, "When I See You," topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for eight weeks. Fantasia played the role of Celie in the 2007 Broadway Musical, The Color Purple and won a Theatre World Award.

Fantasia's third studio album, Back to Me, was released in 2010. She earned her first Grammy win for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for the single "Bittersweet."

In 2013, Fantasia announced that she is returning to Broadway in After Midnight, which ends in February. She also released her fourth studio album entitled Side Effects of You, and is currently nominated for three Grammy Awards including Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Get It Right," Best R&B Song for "Without Me," and Best Urban Contemporary Album.

The Grammy Awards will air Sunday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
