Country star Trace Adkins has checked into a rehab center following an alleged fight with an impersonator. He was sober for 12 years before he relapsed at the Country Cruising event.

Country Cruising is a week-long event for various artists to perform while on a cruise ship, and it was at a bar on a ship where Adkins reportedly fell off the wagon.

According to TMZ, while intoxicated, Adkins got into a physical altercation with his impersonator while he was singing karaoke. When the cruise ship arrived to its destination – Jamaica – Adkins got off and checked into treatment right away.

Adkins’ publicist confirmed to People, "Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism. As he faces these issues head-on, we ask that his family's privacy will be respected."

The “Brown Chicken Brown Cow” singer, 52, completed a stint in rehab in 2011 after his family staged an intervention.

He talked about it in 2009, saying "I wish for anybody out there to never have to go through one of those intervention things where you sit down there and people start telling you what you're doing to them. You're so weak that it's come to this. Man, I hated myself at that moment."
