American Idol continues to win nights the singing competition is on, but has repeatedly dipped slightly in the ratings every week, while NBC saw a slight uptick with CBS opting for repeats on Wednesday night.

Fox easily took the night in both the demographic and average number of viewers. The network averaged a 3.8 in the 18-49 demographic and 12.4 million viewers, reports HitFix, thanks to Idol, though it was down from last week.

NBC was a distant second even as there were plenty of repeats airing on CBS and ABC. The peacock network averaged a 1.6 rating and 6.51 million viewers. Revolution dipped from last week to a 1.3 in the demo and Law & Order: SVU stayed steady with a 1.9 in the demo. Chicago P.D. was up though with a 1.7 demo rating.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC came second with a 1.5 in the demo and 5.2 million viewers. The alphabet network began the night with an hour of encores. A new episode of Suburgatory followed, which was down for the night to a 1.5 in the 18-49 demographic. Rebel Wilson's Super Fun Night struggled, dipping to a series low 1.3 rating. Nashville brought a little life into ABC's night, up to a 1.5 in the demo.

CBS aired mostly repeats, pulling in a 1.4 in the demo and a strong 7.5 million viewers. Special Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials managed a 1.9 rating, which was about what it did last year.
