The return of The Big Bang Theory drew large audiences for CBS, which easily dominated over the other networks Thursday night.

CBS romped to victory on Thursday night, blasting all other competition with a 3.0 in the 18-49 demographic and 12.08 million viewers for the night, reports HitFix. The night started off with The Big Bang Theory, which managed a 5.6 in the demo and 20.08 million viewers setting a record high for the show. The Millers was also up, managing to tie its series high at 3.3 in the demo, followed by The Crazy Ones, which was also up for the night with a 2.4 rating. Two and a Half Men and Elementary were both up as well with a 2.4 and 2.0, respectively.

NBC claimed a rare second place finish for the evening, but its numbers were tiny compared to CBS. The network managed a 1.2 in the demo and 3.61 million viewers. Parks and Recreation returned from its hiatus to score a slightly improved 1.4 as did the third episode of Community. Sean Saves the World and The Michael J Fox show were both up, posting moderated gains to both snag a 1.0 in the demo. Parenthood followed with a 1.3 rating.

ABC snagged third place, just behind NBC with a 1.0 in the 18-49 demo and 3.95 million viewers for the night, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cooking competition The Taste remained steady from last week with a 1.3 in the demo and the second episode of The Assets dropped to a 0.6 rating.

Fox only offered a night of Sleepy Hollow repeats and averaged 2.4 million viewers and a 0.7 in the demo. The CW was similarly also only repeats and scored a 0.3 rating and 945,000 viewers.
