Repeats continued during TV Winter hiatus, with Criminal Minds and Modern Family leading the way on New Year's Day.

CBS took the night in both number of viewers and in the important 18-49 demographic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The network pulled in a 1.1 in the demo and 6.6 million viewers. Criminal Minds pulled in strong numbers for the 9 p.m. time slot with a 1.3 in the demo and 7.04 million viewers. CSI followed with a strong 1.0 for a repeat.

In second place for the evening was ABC with a 1.0 in the demo and 3.97 million viewers. The Middle and The Goldbergs were decent with a 1.2 and 1.3 rating, HitFix reports. Modern Family, though a repeat, was fairly strong and did the best in the 18-49 demo with a 1.5. Nashville ended the night for the network with a 0.5.

NBC was in third with a 0.7 rating and 2.9 million followers thanks to reruns of Revolution and Law & Order: SVU repeats. Fox followed closely with a 0.6 and 1.73 million viewers.

The CW followed behind with 1.06 million viewers and a rating of 0.3 thanks to repeats of Arrow and Tomorrow People.
