Fox won a quiet Thursday night in the ratings with CBS once again turning to repeats, still the numbers for new show Rake were disappointing.
American Idol managed a 3.3 in the advertiser important 18-49 demographic, which topped all other shows for the night, reports HitFix. That number was still down for the show, but there was little competition. Fox averaged a 2.5 in the demo and 9.6 million viewers. The new Greg Kinnear show Rake lost most of its lead-in's audience, managing only a 1.7 rating. Not a good start.
Even though the network aired only encores, CBS still took second place for the night with a 1.9 demo rating and 7.8 million viewers. Even as a repeat, The Big Bang Theory still tends to top all Thursday night comedies, this time pulling in a 2.4 in the demo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC took third with 3.9 million viewers and a low 1.1 in the demo. Cooking competition The Taste managed a 1.1 rating in the demo, which was up for the show. An encore of Shark Tank quietly followed.
Community and Parks and Recreation remained on par with their previous outings with a 1.1 and 1.2 in the demo, respectively. NBC only managed a 1.0 in the 18-49 demographic and 3.2 million viewers.
The CW pulled in a close 0.9 rating and 2.2 million viewers behind episodes of The Vampire Diaries (1.1 rating) and Reign (0.7 rating).
