Twisted is finally back with a dramatic second half of the season. Following characters faking their deaths, actual character deaths and love triangles, if you missed one episode of the ABC Family drama then you’re already behind. With the winter premiere on Feb. 11, here are ten things that you need to know to catch up.
This dramatic show follows the story of Danny Desai (Avan Jogia), Jo Masterson (Madelaine Hasson) and Lacey Porter (Kylie Bunbury) as they try to understand the mysteries within their relationships. Danny, convicted murderer, was released from juvenile detention for the murder of his aunt on the first episode. Although Lacey called him a sociopath, as the show continued she warmed up to him and now the two are dating.
Outside of the children, there is Karen Desai (Denise Richards). She is Danny’s mother and fearless. Jo’s parents Tess (Kimberly Quinn) and Kyle (Sam Robards) are like fire and ice. Kyle is the police captain of the town and tries to keep his daughter under lock and key. Tess is a free spirit who makes pottery and may have been having an affair with Danny’s father.
Rico (Ashton Moio) is Jo’s best friend and very caring of her. When a video of Danny and Lacey’s romance began to spread, Rico tried his best to keep the news away from Jo because he knew it would hurt her. He also has a huge crush on Jo. Also, he loves murder-mysteries.
With Twisted returning here are ten things to catch you up on. Watch Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 9pm. After come back to TheCelebrityCafe.com to read one of our Twisted recaps.

10. The cops aren’t very good
At the beginning of the season, I wrote the Twisted recaps. One thing I noticed was how bad the police force was. Kyle Masterson, the head of police made so many mistakes that I kept a BCM (bad cop moment) counter. The total of BCMs for the first part of the season was 27. There were only 11 episodes.
At the end of the first part of the season, Kyle was replaced by a private investigator. After be began questioning the Mayor and his connection to the Desai family, the mayor said that he wasn’t pleased with Kyle’s work so he replaced him with an investigator of his own.
The investigator wasn’t very good either because instead of looking at all of the facts and the suspects, she said that they were simply trying to find a way to pin the murder on Danny.

9. Danny may or may not have killed his Aunt Tara.
Before the series started, Danny went to juvenile detention for strangling his aunt with a jump rope. In the pilot episode, Danny was released and allowed to return to school. People still assumed that he was a killer so he became an outcast.
On the day that Danny allegedly murdered his aunt, Lacey and Jo were at his house. The three were childhood friends until the murder. The girls revealed that they continue to have nightmares because they saw Tara’s strangled body lying on the ground.
While Danny admitted that her murdered her, there are doubts whether or not he is covering for someone else.

8. There is a love triangle
Jo and Lacey both love Danny. Danny loves Lacey. Lacey wanted to hide her romance with Danny because he was an outcast and she was cool. However, she finally came around and told everyone and lost her popularity. Her friends Sarita (who is terrible and mean) and Phoebe stopped talking to her when she admitted that she was dating Danny.
When Lacey and Danny began dating, they hid it from Jo because they didn’t want to upset her. However, Jo did tell Lacey how she felt about Danny and Lacey kept it to herself. Jo finally found out, she was angry with the two. She didn’t stay lonely long. She paired up with a boy named Tyler and recently gave him her ever-precious v-card.
There is a minor triangle as well because Rico, Jo’s best friend, also loves her. Jo didn’t let him down gently but it is very clear to Rico that he and Jo will never be an item. Ouch.

7. Regina was murdered
In the first episode, Regina was murdered. She was having a party at her home and then the next morning she was found dead. All fingers pointed to Danny because it was his first week back and Regina had been flirting with him nonstop.
The night before, Danny received a text from Regina’s phone stating that she knew what happened to his aunt. Interestingly, Regina’s body was found without her red necklace, which matched the one that Danny’s aunt wore.
Lacey was at Danny’s house the night of Regina’s murder but she was unsure whether or not she trusted him enough to be his alibi because she was asleep. Danny had the necklace after Regina died leading the audience (and me) to think that he killed her. He has no alibi and he had the necklace.

6. Regina’s mother wants to take Danny down
I’m not hiding the fact that I believe that Danny murdered Regina until another character admits it, I will believe that Danny murdered his classmate. There is one character agrees with me completely. Regina’s mother believes that Danny killed Regina and said that she won’t stop until Danny is punished. Gloria takes her anger out on Danny’s mother, Karen, as well. She fussed at her at a brunch.
When Danny gets in trouble and must face a trial to decide if he is expelled from school, Gloria is on the committee and tries her best to get him expelled. At the trial, Karen calls Regina a slut and shocks the entire room. Due to Gloria’s push, Danny is punished.

5. Danny has the coolest mom in the world
Karen Desai is one of the best mothers on television. She has dealt with more drama in one season than some other mothers in network shows. No matter what, she stood by her son.
Danny has not only gone to jail for Karen’s sister-in-law’s murder but Danny has been questioned for the murder of another young lady. After Tess found Regina’s necklace she tried to take the fall for Regina’s murder. She admitted it to the police. When she found the necklace, she threw it into the lake but was caught doing it.
Even though people judged her harshly and stopped being her friend, she stood strong she got a job and began her new life. When Karen found out that all of the evidence was piling up against Danny she was even going to flee with him.

4. Danny is expelled from school
Cole, Danny’s best friend from the soccer team, was poisoned. The poison used was a mothball. There was no proof that Danny did it except for the fact that he was the last to leave the locker room and he was the only one who has a past with hurting people. Because of the soccer team was being hateful, Danny left the soccer team leaving people to think that he did it.
It turns out that Archie, Lacey’s ex and another player on the soccer team, was the one to poison Cole but when the truth came out, it was too late for Danny.
Because there was no real proof that Danny did anything wrong, Gloria and the school board tried to find a bogus reason to expel him. They decided to hold a trial because he missed a “mandated” therapy session that he was forced to attend after he got into a fight. Though Gloria was clearly bias, the trial happened. Danny lost and was kicked out of school.

3. The evidence points to Danny
When Karen threw Regina’s necklace into the lake, it made everything worse. Rico saw her do it and told Kyle. Because of that, the police had Regina’s necklace and knew that it came from the household. Also, the seemingly dirty mayor had the police drag the lake again they found the murder weapon with Danny’s fingerprints on it.
Even though the evidence points to Danny, there are doubts. Phoebe saw Regina arguing with a woman the day before her murder. Who was she arguing with? Regina was arguing with the new private investigator on her case. The fight was so harsh that the woman gave Regina a huge cut and upset her.

2. Danny is on the run
When Tess finds out that Danny is about to be arrested, she tells Karen. Karen packs their bags and they plan to leave together. She says that she loves her son and wants to protect him. Obviously when you love someone you make sure they get away with murder. However, before the two can leave, the police show up before they can leave together. Karen talks to them long enough for Danny to sneak out the window and into freedom.
At the end of the first half of the season Danny was still gone. In the winter premiere, Danny is still on the run, trying to find a way to clear his name. I don’t know how a high school kid is going to clear his own name but, hey! If 15-year-old Alison DiLaurentis can fake her death in Pretty Little Liars, then anything is possible on ABC Family.
[new page= Back to life!]
1. Danny’s father is alive.
Danny’s father, Vikram was thought to be dead. He was in a boating accident and was declared missing. Because he disappeared at sea, he left his wife alone to deal with every thing in life. She was left with the grief of having her only son in juvenile detention and having to survive as a single mother who hadn’t needed a job. See, she’s awesome.
The entire first half of the season everyone questioned whether or not he was alive. Lacey and Jo believed that he may have been having an affair with Regina and murdered her. They found evidence in an apartment that made them believe it.
When the police had enough evidence to arrest Danny, Tess called Vikram on the phone and told him that he needed to come back.
