A 4-year-old fashion lover, Mayhem Keiser, has caused quite the stir with her collection of homemade dresses made of household items that are based off of gowns from this year’s award season.
Keiser poses in each gown, made out of toilet paper, towels, pillow cases and more, on her mom, Angie’s Instagram page.
She's seen modeling her creations side-by-side with her fashion muses Katy Perry, Jennifer Lawrence and Lupita Nyong'o.
Keiser’s parents, Angie and Keith, own a photography studio based out of Ohio. Angie told Today.com that her daughter is learning a lot about fashion with these projects, which is “fun to watch.”
“She has learned that when you put the pieces flat next to each other, they won’t work. [She knows that] to fit around your waist, you have to lay it at an angle,” she explained. “She could layout contruction paper right now and tape it all together into a dress. She knows how many pieces she needs for a top and bottom.”
Mayhem is a nickname her family gave her, as her parents don’t want her real name in the media. But nonetheless, she is only 4, so these dresses sometimes take hours to make.
“A 4-year-old doesn’t sit still for that time. So we will split it up over a few days,” she said.
Her blog is currently under construction and she’s working on getting her own Instagram page up to show off her work. It already has over 10,000 followers despite having no posts yet.
