ABC Family has pulled the plug on Ravenswood, the Pretty Little Liars spinoff that starred Tyler Blackburn.
Ravenswood only ran for 10 episodes, the last of which aired on Feb. 4. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the episode only drew 1.4 million viewers.
The series started in October following a PLL special, drawing 2.1 million viewers, notes Deadline. However, the show’s subsequent episodes were scheduled without a PLL lead-in and fans of that popular show didn’t make a point of seeing Ravenswood.
It did take a winter break and returned in January with PLL, but never held on to PLL’s audience. The January mid-season premiere drew 1.7 million viewers, just half as many as PLL.
Ravenswood was set in a Pennsylvania town and co-starred Gale Anderson, Steven Cabral, Brett Dier, Britne Oldford and Merritt Patterson. It was produced by Alloy Entertainment and Warner Horizon Television.
ABC Family’s scripted roster now includes PLL, Switched at Birth and The Fosters. The network also ordered Chasing Life, another new scripted series.
