Chris Evans, the actor known for playing Captain America will kick off the race at Daytona 500 this year.

Evan will give the command to “start your engines” on Feb. 23rd. The Grand Marshal position is a great honor, and Evans has accepted the role for this year. Daytona 500 is known as “The Great American Race,” according to the Associated Press.

This year, Evans plays in the movie Captain American: The Winter Soldier, scheduled for April 4. Evans was born in 1981 in Boston. He is known for playing a superhero in films. He has also starred in The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World.

Previous Daytona 500 Grand Marshals include Ben Affleck, Kate Upton, Matthew McConaughey and James Franco. According to the The Hollywood Reporter, Matthew McConaughey and Nicholas Cage have also made appearances at the Daytona 500. This year, Gary Sinise will also appear at the race.

The 56th Annual Daytona 500 series race will be held on Feb. 23. It will be broadcast on Fox.
