CBS obviously wants to keep Alyson Hannigan around after she spent nine seasons with the network on How I Met Your Mother as they have cast her to star in a new high-profile pilot.
Hannigan will star opposite Tom Papa in the More Time With Family multi-camera comedy pilot, reports Deadline.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are signed on to executive produce the pilot, alongside Cathy Yuspa and Josh Goldsmith. Yuspa is also on board to write the script.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hannigan will play Cindy Rizzo, who is described as a loving mother, but runs her household fairly strict, and is married to Papa's character.
The plot of More Time follows Papa as he changes jobs so he can be with his family more.
The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress is not the only HIMYM castmember already lining up their next gig. Cristin Miloti, who plays the mother, has joined the cast of NBC's A to Z pilot with Parks and Recreation alum Rashida Jones.
