Amanda Bynes has entered a no contest for a lesser offense as part of a plea deal in order to get the DUI charge dropped.

TMZ reports that the troubled actress' lawyer Rich Hutton put in no contest plea on Monday. Instead of being charged with a DUI, Bynes is now just being slapped with a lesser drinking charge known as "wet reckless."

According to CNN, the plea deal means that Bynes will only have to go through an alcohol education program, spend three years on probation and pay a fine.

The charge stems from an April 2012 arrest where Bynes was accused of sideswiping a police car. The court case for the DUI was postponed as a doctor was brought in to determine her mental competency, who eventually determined she was in November.

The Amanda Show actress' other charges have since been dropped. After her DUI charge, she was accused of two hit-and-runs, which were compounded by her driving on a suspended license. Bynes was also accused of dropping a bong out of her apartment window.
