Amanda Bynes pleaded no contest to the reckless driving violation. The plea was entered by Richard Hutton, her lawyer. Hutton is an expert on cases of driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to the Associated Press, Bynes clipped a Los Angeles sheriff’s patrol car.

The Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Edward Moreton sentenced the star to three years of probation. She was also ordered to participate in three months of alcohol education classes, according to the LA Times. This wasn’t the first violation for Bynes. She was arrested in April of 2012 on suspicion of drunken driving. She received treatment last year after authorities said started a fire in the driveway of a Thousand Oaks Home. Bynes was admitted to a psychiatric facility where they could monitor her behavior. After that, her mother, Lynn, was granted conservatorship of the actress.

The actress is known for her work in Hairspray, Sydney White, and Easy A. She was also seen in the television series Family Guy.
