Frank Darabont filed a lawsuit back in December, suing the AMC network over profits and payments related to The Walking Dead. AMC has now filed a 10-page response to the lawsuit.

AMC strongly denies any allegations of self-dealing, which is the main heart of Darabont's suit, Variety reported.

Darabont filed his lawsuit in December at the New York State Supreme Court.

AMC's response was short and dry, compared to the suit that he filed against the network. The network asks the court to dismiss the suit and asks that the plaintiffs cover any legal fees.

The network called the claims against them "baseless," LA Times added.

"We look forward to demonstrating through the legal process that this is a baseless lawsuit built on claims that have no merit," said AMC in a statement about the suit.

AMC has been enjoying having one of the highest rated shows on cable TV with The Walking Dead including beating the Winter Olympics two Sunday nights in a row when it came to ratings.
