U.S. skiers Andrew Weibrecht and Bode Miller have each won medals in the super-G event.
USA Today noted that Weibrecht earned the silver medal and Miller tied with Canada's Jan Hudec for the bronze. Kjetil Jansrud of Norway won his fourth straight Olympic super-G gold medal.
ESPN reported that Jansrud finished the race in one minute, 18.14 seconds and Weibrecht finished just 0.30 seconds behind him. Miller and Hudec both finished with a time of 1:18.67.
"It's unbelievable. I came down and knew I skied well. I knew I had a good run," Weibrecht, the 2010 bronze medalist said. "I came through the finish and appreciated my run. Then I took a couple of seconds and looked at the time, I saw two and looked away. I looked again and was like, 'You've got to be kidding me."'
His teammate Miller also shared his thoughts on winning another medal.
"To be on the podium, it's a really big day for me," he said. "Emotionally, I had a lot riding on it. I'm super, super happy."
This was the final run for the 36-year-old Miller, who ends his career with an impressive six medals in the Winter Olympics, six discipline World Cup titles and four World Championships titles in four different disciplines, cementing himself as one of the greatest Alpine skiers of all time.
