Preparations for this year’s Oscars are underway. Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced that Anne Hathaway will be presenting an award at the Oscars this year.
Hathaway will be presenting, as will Daniel Day-Lewis and Jennifer Lawrence, according to Chicago Tribune. Hathaway is a popular film actress who has appeared in Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada, Bride Wars, and One Day. She won an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Les Miserables. She played Fantine.
According to Entertainment Weekly, actors who won in previous years often return as presenters. In addition to awards for Best Actress and Best Actor, awards will be given for music and film of the year.
Many preparations are being made for the star-studded occasion. In addition to presenters being secured for the awards, musical guests have been confirmed. Pharrell Williams will perform at the ceremony this year.
The 86th Annual Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 2 at the Dolby Theatre. They will be broadcast on ABC. Ellen DeGeneres will host the event.
